Philosophy

The word philosophy is derived from Latin and Greek word philosophia The original meaning of philosophlia is "study and knowledge regarding various matters and events&sbquo and their causes&sbquo" and also meant "love of knowledge&sbquo' Derived from this "love of knowledge" and through various transformations over time&sbquo the word came to mean "practical wisdom&sbquo" and further developed to include a number of subsidiary meanings It eventually expanded to mean the transition of knowledge and insight into knowledge itself. For example&sbquo philosophy as a "devout attitude towards God and submission to God" was divided academically into three meanings and categories These are metaphysics&sbquo ethics and natural science Natural science proceeded to be-come science The differentiation into categories even resulted in skepticism concerning the existence of God by clearly making a distinction between human intelligence and the object of study and religion While philosophy became a common name for all thought systems&sbquo it has two meanings and usages in contemporary English One is an academic usage that is limited to ethics and the logic of knowledge in the long term This claims that the logic It-self is wrong unless logic's traditional relationship with the general ethical and intellectual system is demonstrated The other usage is as a general colloquial term This&sbquo for example&sbquo is philosophy as In "corporate philosophy&sbquo" "sales philosophy" and "educational philosophy." It does not include love for knowledge or wisdom&sbquo or skepticism or rightfulness&sbquo and is limited in meaning It is the same when we say "design philosophy.'" If we were to speak of design philosophy from the essential meaning of philosophy&sbquo we would also have to consider a systemization of the designer's creative thinking.
