Here&sbquo I'd like to discuss the "life cycle of a product" that is closely related to design. When something is designed&sbquo its value is in the form of a product&sbquo that is&sbquo an object of consumption. However&sbquo by creating fluctuations in what is seen as valuable (where that value is an object of consumption)&sbquo the product life span is passively determined&sbquo and through the corporation's active manipulation of those values&sbquo it is possible to manipulate the consumer's value judgment and interest in purchase. In these passive and active processes&sbquo design or design strategy can have a considerable part. Since the notion that this role is the very raison d'eacute; tre of the design profession has also come into play&sbquo design values and the design profession have been determined according only to the function and effects of capitalism. However&sbquo I'd like to stress that this conventional and narrow assessment of the design profession should be changed through the design of the life cycle of the product itself.
The letter "L" has gone through many changes in such writings and languages as hieroglyph&sbquo Phoenician&sbquo and Latin&sbquo but ha maintained a its root such meanings as "fluid" and "framing square." That is&sbquo it means " things that flow" or "finite things that can be measured&sbquo" and is thought to be linked with such words as "life" and "live." A life cycle can be a life span of nature&sbquo the human being&sbquo organization or object&sbquo or substance. It is the concept that orderly transitivity always exists in things with life or things in general that impart a sense of life. The human being&sbquo in particular&sbquo is considered to have a complete life span from birth to death in one generation. In other words&sbquo there exists an orderly transition regulated by the process of aging in a biological sense&sbquo that comprises birth&sbquo growth&sbquo maturity&sbquo senility and death&sbquo within a transitive transformation called a life span. Such elements as social status overlap that transition&sbquo and each of those stages can be called a life stage in keeping with the events and incidents surrounding each individual. The interpretation of the concept words " life cycle" are now used similarly in respect to organizations and substances such as corporations and products.
